This video came about as a collaboration with Teddy gold to create a flashy piece to celebrate the release of her new single "technicolor." In planning for production, we drew inspiration from the song's allusions to the golden age of hollywood. Shooting on 35mm film imparted an era-specific color palette and film grain quality onto the project, coupled with extensive art direction, the use of classic locations around hollywood, and experimentation with rear projection.
Process
The process for bringing this project together was largely based around the goals to contain the shoot to one location and to film during one day. Our process documents below show the creative treatment that was reverse engineered from these requirements, but which ultimately led to some pretty interesting results.
